when I was at CMWDT

So for those who will read this, its just a quick update of when I was at CMWDT

This is a couple of lovely ladies that attend TOUCH. (for the visually impaired) So the were blind and still able to knit

When leaving Tauranga after the last semester 2011, I spent 3 weeks in Auckland. That was an experience. I was helping out at Christian Ministries with Disabled Trust in Onehunga, South Auckland. I learnt that those who have disabilities are just like those with perfectly abled bodies. They just need help in areas that due to certain malfunctions restrict them from doing. You can sit down and engage in conversations with them, you can have meals with them etc and they know what's going on.

I met up with a lady named Margaret who took me out and showed me disabled people are treated and how they act in town, or other public place.

I also got to see a couple of places where disabled people live. One was a self contained place and he had personal helpers but pretty much lived by him self, and the other place was a flat situation, and there were 3 guys and Margaret who lived in this flat. They had helpers too. Other homing situations is they can live with their parents or family members, or if their disability is very minor then they look after them selves.
